The curriculum at Parth International hinges on 3 guiding principles:

  • Children are curious and enquiring by nature
  • All children learn
    differently
  • A Teacher is more than to teach the subject

Children Are Curious and Enquiring by Nature

It is important for us to cater to a child’s basic human nature and foster inquisitiveness because our lives are not essentially governed by our needs and wants but by the innate sincerity of trying to figure and fathom things around us – nature, our own lives, our society and such.

We develop on curiosity to stimulate intellectual development, self-reliance, and decision-making skills rather than checking the boxes of mindless memorizing of information.

Our inquiry- based approach allows us to curate enriched environment for inquiry, discovery, and experiences sharing and gathering. Children engage in building new concepts through hands-on, meaningful play experiences characterized by novel challenges, opportunities for self-direction, engaging all senses through observation, talking and group work.

A teacher’s role on this journey of self-discovery is that of a facilitator who helps the childrento form the concepts on their own by collecting answers and connecting the acquired knowledge.

All Children Learn Differently

Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligence theory is that people have their own strengths and can demonstrate their knowledge and abilities in different ways. Our Child Centred Innovative Approach is basis this deep understanding that every child has different interests, abilities and learning styles. We prepare and present teaching material in multiple formats in order to engage every child so that they all learn in the way that best suits their learning style. A visual learner, for example, would benefit from our literary-rich environment of word banks, writing frames and such.

Moreover, hands-on activities, group projects, and discussions make the learning more fun and meaningful and equip the children with the self-assurance of their capabilities.

The good teacher knows that the best learning environment is always student-centered, never teacher-centered.” -Yvone Enoch and James Lyke

A Teacher Is More Than Someone Who Teaches the Subject

“The whole art of teaching is only the art of awakening the natural curiosity of young minds for the purpose of satisfying it afterward.” —Anatole France

The teacher’s role is to assist her students in what they are doing. Children are given the opportunity to explore a problem, try out solutions, build on this new knowledge to make adjustments and evolve new solutions. This is what will make the learners and doers of the 21st century and these are the kids who will thrive in this evolving world rather than struggle to survive.

A teacher is more than a teacher of the subject or the task at hand. He/she consciously works to develop social skills and emotional intelligence. If a child faces difficulty and needs help in any particular subject, our teachers go an extra mile in taking care of them individually whether it is during schools hours or after schools hours/holidays with an understanding with the parents.

The teacher is not a sage preaching to the children from the stage but a friend, guide, and mentor to the children. We recruit well- qualified teachers making no compromise in only getting the best to inspire the students. But then we also ensure that we aid their development consistently by providing yearlong training not just in their subject area but also teaching strategies, new technological methodologies like ‘Smart Board technology’ and human development side to be competent to nurture and develop children in all aspects.
